Separation is a recurring event that marks our existence. Let's go back to the origin of our existence: birth. When we come into the world, there is a rupture as we leave our mother's body. This is our first physical separation. The umbilical cord that connects us is cut. Then, throughout our lives, we are confronted with ruptures. They may be friendly, sentimental, or related to the loss of a loved one.
